Flight Assessment of Risk Tool 1.0

Flight Assessment of Risk Tool is designed to assist individuals in evaluating the safety of their flights. Utilizing the FAASafety Team’s Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT), the tool presents users with a series of inquiries regarding the specifics of their flight and personal flying experience. Upon completion, users receive a risk score along with an accompanying detailed analysis of their assessment.

Employing FART can aid in determining the appropriateness of proceeding with a flight, or alternatively, considering the cancellation of the flight, or seeking the company of a more seasoned pilot, such as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).
